ALL-NEW MAN TRUCK GENERATION TO REDEFINE BRISBANE TRUCK SHOW

The all-new MAN truck generation (TG) will be on display at next week’s Brisbane Truck Show. The first newly-developed truck generation for Australia from MAN Truck & Bus in two decades, the TGL, TGM, TGS, and TGX ranges boast excellent driver fit, great efficiency and economy features, optimised uptime, and make for a strong business partner.

“Since we first introduced the all-new MAN truck generation to customers and media mid-last year, we’ve received amazing feedback from everyone that has driven the TGL, TGM, TGS, and TGX,” said Craig Lee, executive general manager of on-highway at Penske Australia.

“We wholeheartedly believe that the new TG platform is redefining the trucking landscape in Australia, and what we are hearing, backs that.”

On display at the Brisbane Truck Show will be the seriously adaptable 12t GVM TGL powered by MAN’s 250hp D08 SCR-only engine, the incredibly efficient and versatile 26t GVM TGX powered by MAN’s 13L D26 engine, and the TGX 26.640 with MAN’s powerhouse 15L 640hp engine with 26t GVM and with the super-spacious ‘maximum’ GX cab.

“MAN dedicated over 167,000 hours into the design of the all-new truck generation, and the fruit of that investment is clear,” said George Konstantinou, general manager of MAN Truck & Bus at Penske Australia.

“The trio on our stand, plus the TGS 26.540 displayed in Technology Alley, clearly show how MAN has drawn on its experience of over 260 years of engineering excellence.

“Boasting excellent driver fit, great efficiency and economy features, and optimised uptime, the new truck generation makes for a strong business partner.

“The streamlined and modern cabin workspace sets a new benchmark with an intuitive dash layout, multi-function steering wheel, advanced infotainment system, and SmartSelect navigator. The innovative driver assistance features such as ACC, steering wheel airbag, cabin safety cell, emergency brake assist, and ComfortSteering – to name a few – mean drivers won’t want to leave the cab.

“Supporting our broad product offering in the heavy-duty, medium-duty, and off-road segments, the new truck generation ranges from the 250hp D08 engine in the TGL to the 640hp D38 Euro 6e engine in the TGX, ensuring the optimal power unit for the job.

“Customers can also count on extended oil drain intervals reducing time off the road and lower tare weights yielding higher payload availability, increasing productivity and optimising uptime.

“And all of this is underpinned by a strong business partnership between MAN, Penske, and our dealer network.”

Visitors to the Brisbane Truck Show can see the new MAN truck generation on stand 54 in the main hall as well as in Technology Alley on Little Stanley Street.
