MAN POWERS ROAD HOG TRANSPORT

Road Hog Transport recently took delivery of an MAN TGM rigid with specialised Pantech body and tail lift, assigned to haul some very special cargo – a highly customised motorbike trailer that converts into a showroom.

Delivered by Penske Australia’s Brisbane dealership, the MAN TGM 16.290 boasts the latest Euro 5 AdBlue-only engine technology, without regeneration, offering excellent fuel consumption and long range service intervals, all yielding a great total cost of ownership.

Complete with an aerodynamically-designed and spacious LX sleeper cab with a high roofline that provides the generous cabin space, the truck is the perfect addition to Road Hog’s existing fleet of four MANs.

The Australian market leader in the medium-duty space for European trucks, the TGM model boasts a host of safety features including electronic stability program (ESP), automatic braking system (ABS), anti-slip regulator (ASR), and electronically-controlled air suspension (ECAS).

“This truck is jam-packed full of features including the ISRI Air Ride driver’s seat, MAN Media Truck infotainment system with a fully integrated reverse camera for both truck and trailer, as well as a bespoke roof-mounted light bar,” said Callie Le Roux, new truck sales representative, Penske Australia.

“We worked very closely with the customer and the trailer manufacturer to ensure the specialised trailer with an extendable drawbar would fit perfectly with the MAN rigid.

“The trailer also features an electronically-controlled air suspension system that can be operated via Bluetooth through the customer’s phone.

“We have worked with the team at Road Hog for over a decade supplying them with extraordinarily safe and efficient MANs that deliver low whole-of-life costs, and we look forward to continuing to work with the team, and seeing this TGM in its full glory as a motorbike showroom!”
